Congratulations. It’s a boy!


A Hereford cow in Windsor Central High School’s Large Animal Lab gave birth to a baby bull on Friday afternoon – the first such birth in the history of the school’s ag program. Agriculture teachers Tina Miner-James and Allison Galton delivered the newborn. Students in the livestock class will learn how to take care of the newborn, while all students in the school will have a chance to vote on the name of the baby bull.   
“Not many kids come from a farm,” said Galton. “A lot of my livestock kids have never grown their own animals. This is something they can call their own. They’ll come in and check on it in the morning and the afternoon before they go home. We’ll check on the well-being to make sure its sprightful and ready to go out and play.”
