Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - August 13

The 2026 Windsor CSD summer camp came to a close with the final day of fine arts camp on Thursday.

Students rotated through four stations of studio art camp: drawing, painting, 3D, and crafting. On Thursday, they displayed the work they’ve created over the past two weeks.   

Painting students made pointillism pieces, using Q-tips to place dots and create a painting. Crafting students used beads to create pieces like potted flowers, lizards, and axolotls, and worked on a community mural quilt, including an artistic interpretation of what it means to be a Black Knight.
Karaoke singers performed Katy Perry’s Roar in front of fellow campers.  Beginning band, which consists of 5th-grade musicians, and advanced band members in grades 6-9 each performed two songs for their fellow campers.  

Musicians in basic rock instruments, who have learned bass guitar, guitar, keyboard, drums, and vocals, created two ensembles that each performed I Gotta Feeling by the Black-Eyed Peas for a music video. 
Music technology unveiled the songs they engineered using the GarageBand program.

Students in the two sessions of theater camp each performed their scene. One was about a hotel mix-up that double booked a room for a group of cowboys and cheerleaders. The other was about a fast-rood restaurant manager who accidentally went viral for preaching against trying to become internet famous.
