Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - August 12

The second-to-last day of the Windsor CSD summer Fine Arts camp was Wednesday.
Studio art camp consists of four stations: drawing, painting, 3D, and crafting. Drawing students created Labubus on Wednesday, after the popular monster toy.  

Painting students continued working on their pointillism pieces, using Q-tips to place dots and create a painting. 3D artists made cardboard sculptures of animals.

Crafting students used beads to create pieces like potted flowers, lizards, and axolotls.  They have also been working on a community mural quilt. Students are deciding on a slogan for the quilt, as well as their artistic interpretation of what it means to be a Black Knight.

Karaoke campers decided which song they will sing during a camp-wide presentation on Thursday. Beginning band, which consists of 5th-grade musicians, and advanced band members in grades 6-9 refined their selections for Thursday’s performances.

Chorus singers learned a new song, warmup exercises, and worked on blending their voices together to create a chorus. Musicians in basic rock instruments, who have learned bass guitar, guitar, keyboard, drums, and vocals, created an ensemble that will perform for   music video on Thursday. On Wednesday, they will form an ensemble to perform for a music video on Thursday. Music technology students continued engineering songs in GarageBand.

Students in the two sessions of theater camp tried on costumes and performed their final run-throughs of the scenes they will perform on Thursday.
