Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - August 10

The final week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program continued with the second week of Fine Arts camp.
Studio art camp consists of four stations: drawing, painting, 3D, and crafting. Drawing students created a drawing inspired by a random idea from a group of 100 that featured an animal and a summer theme. For example, a dog building and enormous sandcastle.

Painting students are working on a pointillism painting this week. They are looking up a design, sketching it out, and using dots to fill in the piece.  

3D artists are making squishy, 3D objects, such as watermelons, snakes, and cherries.

Some crafting students put finishing touches on rock photo holders they began last week. Others started a community mural quilt. Students are deciding on a slogan for the quilt, as well as their artistic interpretation of what it means to be a Black Knight.

Karaoke campers continued to sing and build confidence performing in front of others. Beginning band, which consists of 5th-grade musicians, practiced their skills. Advanced band members in grades 6-9 kept working on the pieces they will play during Thursday’s camp-ending performances.

Chorus singers practiced warm-up exercises on Monday. Musicians in basic rock instruments practiced 
guitar on Monday. They are also learning bass, keyboard, drums, and vocals during camp. Music technology students engineered songs in GarageBand.

Students in the two sessions of theater camp each wrote a script last week, On Monday, students reviewed lines and practiced their performance.
