Windsor CSD Summer Program Recap - July 14
The second week of the Windsor CSD 2026 summer program continued Tuesday.
Knight Lights elementary camp rotated students through stations focusing on gross motor skills, fine arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and literacy and numeracy.
On Tuesday, 3rd- and 4th-grade students toured the land lab at Windsor Central High School and swam in the WCHS pool. Other students rotated between STEM stations, including building with Play Doh and straws.
5th- and 6th-grade students studied accessibility. They viewed pictures of accessible spaces and toured Palmer Elementary/Windsor Central Middle School to see examples. Later this week, they will use Play Doh, Magna Blocks, and Legos to create examples of accessible spaces.
Middle school students in the Windsor Strong Academy continued building their castles and catapults. They will hold a catapult Olympics later this week, use the devices during a kingdom battle when each kingdom tries to destroy another kingdom’s castle.
Due to the excessive heat, tennis, track and field, and swimming and diving camps were cancelled on Tuesday. They are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, July 15.
